Strawberry peacock cichlids belong to the genus Aulonocara which has near two dozen recognized species. These are awesome African cichlids that are great for community tanks. Aquariums should be outfitted with lots of rocks to create caves. This is standard for Lake Malawi cichlids, they need to establish territories, hide or rest among the rocks. There are many beautifully colored Aulonocara or Peacock cichlids but the Strawberry peacock cichlids are just stunning, their just unusually beautiful to look at.
