Somileptes gongota the cat-eyed loach from India
The Moosehead loach Somileptes gongota are sand bottom dwellers
Currently S. gongota is only known member of the Somileptus genus. Affectionately known as the moosehead loach or the jaguar loach is one of the weirdest and trickiest loaches available according to Matt Clarke.
Once more we received the fascinating cat-eyed loach, Somileptes gongota, from India. These fish are sand bottom dwellers that originate from higher regions. Temperature between 16 and 24°C, the water must be very clean and poor in bacteria, pH and hardness are of lesser meaning (in the wild, the water has a pH around 7 and a hardness around 8°GH), very peaceful, maximum size about 12 cm.
For our customers: the fish has code 455393 on our stock list. Please note that we exclusively supply the wholesale trade.
