Pangio kuhli or Kuhli loaches are a freshwater species of loach originating from India and Pakistan. Some of the common names of this species include the
Yoyo loach, Almora loach, and the Pakistani loach. They are very slender and nocturnal with a snake-like appearance. They have the ability to dart quick and this has be noted when they startled. Kuhli loaches are sometimes called scale-less fish even though they do have scales that are embedded in their skin. Like most species of loaches is best to keep them in small groups of six or more in a community tank. These nocturnal fish will enjoy places to hide so provide driftwood, plants, and rock caves.
Kuhli loaches are list on the endangered species list on the IUCN Red List website.
