Hypostomus weberi is distinguished from congeners or other species in this genus by having bicuspid teeth with a rounded mesial cusp that is considerably larger than the outer cusp. This catfish sports a unique color pattern composed of large, black, rounded spots widely-spaced and sharply defined from the head, dorsal surface and fins, and the presence of a buccal papilla. H. weberi is named in honor of Claude Weber the pleco expert.
Finally we were able to import again one of the most attractive species of
Cochliodon: L167. The species belongs to the typical representatives of the genus, which feed mainly on soft wood. This can be recognized by the very few teeth, which have a specialized shape with a broad, mussel-shaped cusp. L167 originates from the Rio Negro and is supposed to reach a total length of about 30 cm and currently our fish are 10-12 cm long.
For our customers: the fish have code 26480-L 167-4 on our stock list. Please note that we exclusively supply the wholesale trade.
