L135 suckermouth catfish
Peckoltia is a genus host to small South American armored suckermouth catfishes and many of these fish are popular aquarium fish and highly sought after especially the worm-line pleco known as L135 or L121 or L305.
The L-catfish L135 belongs to the most attractive L-numbers. Most specialists currently believe that it represents a variety of the species Peckoltia braueri. This species has been given also two other L-numbers, eg 121 and 305. But L135 from the central Rio Negro basin is the most colorful of them. This catfish attains a maximum length of 12-15 cm and has been bred in aquaria already. It is only very rarely available as wild collected stock, so we are quite glad about our successful importation!
